Tim Poff has been with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences since September 1997, during which time has been a graphic designer and, since 2011, the art director.
Poff manages the design and production of artwork to support the college as well as Virginia Cooperative Extension. The scope of his work includes the development and layout of a variety of publications and marketing tools, displays, newsletters, graphic elements, illustrations, and website graphics. He regularly consults with clients to help them create materials that reach their intended audiences while staying within budget.
He has won numerous awards for design and illustrations from the Association for Communication Excellence in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Life and Human Sciences. In 2010, he was a Virginia Tech President’s Award in Excellence nominee. Poff is also a certified University Brand Ambassador.
Prior to Virginia Tech, Poff was a graphic designer at the Kingma Agency for five years, a typesetting manager at Roanoke Stamp and Seal for three years, and a graphic designer at Southern Printing for three years.
He has a bachelor of fine arts from Radford University.
